Maricatherine Penny is in her fourth year at CMP as a TK/Kindergarten Teacher. She has taught elementary school since 2007 after obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree and Teaching Credential at Concordia University in Irvine, CA. She discovered her love of the Montessori Method while teaching Preschool and serving as a Student Resource Teacher at Mustard Seed School, a school for homeless children at Loaves and Fishes. She completed her Montessori Early Childhood Certification at Montessori Teachers College in 2015. She completed her Master’s Degree in Teaching with a specialization in Reading and a certification as a Reading Specialist in 2016. Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Ms. Penny has enjoyed living in California since 2003. When she’s not in the classroom, she enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, music, theater and a good book.
